Joining

To join, click on the join tab at the top of the screen. Enter your email address, user name and password that you would like. Click the button to become a member.

At GoEventing.com, we do NOT tolorate cheating. Only one account is allowed per player.


Logining In

Click on the login tab at the top of the screen. Enter your email address and password to login. You will be taken to your account page after you login so you can start playing. If you are not taken to your account page , dont panic and are brought back to your login page simple click 'Account' in the navagation bar on your left hand side!

Your Account

On your account you'll find how much money you have, a link to all your horses, a box to display your page html, and a way to update your account login.

Memeber Id and Game Money

Top of your account you will see your memeber name and your ID#. You should proberly remember your number it comes in handy. Your game money , this is NOT real and you can not use real money to get more or to be exchanged for real money. You will have to either earn it or wait each week to collect you salary from the bank.

Breeding Brands

You can choose your brand at the bottom of your account page. This brand can be changed later, but it can also be the same as someone else's so try and be different when choosing yours.
Your brand works as a link, if you breed a horse yourself your brand stays on the horses page, people who buy your horse's can see who bred the horse by clicking the brand and it will take them to your page.

Bank

This is where you collect your salary, you can recieve $5,000 once a week. On your bank page you can also give money to other memembers, just incase you want to give money to a friend.
But you must be resposible about giving money out, dont expect it back. GoEventing will not get your money back for you if you lose it.


Creating A Horse

Members get an option to create up to 5 horses. These can also be known as 'store' horses. Click 'create a horse' this will take you to a new page in which you can choose the name , breed, gender, colour and age. Each horse costs $5000 game money.

After you reach the five created horses limit, you will no longer be able to create them unless you upgrade your account.


Your Horses

You access your horses through your account page on that page you can see the brand , name, age , breed and whether the horse is for sale or pregnant (this is shown in bold). Click your horses name to access there page.

One there page you can change there picture, there name and whether or not they available for breeding. You can also view all your horses general information.

If you look to the bottom left hand side you will see a navagation box named 'Horse Management'. Using this box you get to care for your horse.

Your Horses Health

Your horse is like a real horse, it will stay healthy if its cared for correctly, if its left eventually it will die. Your horse will lose and gain health each day depending what you do with it. Everytime you train your horse it will lose health. This doesn't mean you can't train your horse, just ensure its not trained everyday without a break to recover health. Horse can't enter a show if they are not healthy.

If your horse's health becomes low enough, a rescue button will be shown on its page, allowing other players to send it to the Rescue Center.

Training your horse

This can only be done once a day, and your horse will loose health each time he/she is train but if the training was sucessful your horse may gather points towards the event they were trained in (which is shown in a %). You get to choose the event you would like to train your horse in, how long it trains for, the effort put into training and also any training aids you may want to use.
Remember each horse is diffrent to what he/she will prefere in training sessions

Feeding

To feed you horse you buy a 7 days supply from the feed link. Your horse must have feed or it will loose health. This feed will be automatically given to your horse each day, be sure to remember to buy some more once your 7 days are up.
Upgraded memebers can buy more than a 7 days supply if wanted!

Vetting

Again like the feed this is something that must be done, you are advised to vet your horse once a week and will costs $200 Game money. You vet will comment your horses condition so you know whether your horse needs to go. If you created a horse you must vet it straight away.

Farrier

Once again your horse must be shod, and your farrier will comment on whether your horse needs shod. You are also advise to have you horse shod once a week. And you will need to take your horse to the farrier as soon as you created one. Farrier costs $100 game money.

Grooming

Another general health care for your horse which if not seen to your horse will loose health and points in showing. Your horse may can be dirty and you may have to click the button more than once to get a 100% clean hores.
Upgraded can pay there groom to have there groom automatically done each day!

Breeding

Breeding is vital to any horse game. While other games may let you crossbreed (breeding different breeds of horses), GoEventing only allows you to breed to a horse of the same breed.

Currently there are three breeding fee options:

Unavailable - the horse will not be publically breedable no matter what the price is set at, however you may breed to that horse be clicking "Breed" under the horse management on the left side.

Request - the horse is available to the public for breeding, HOWEVER they have to wait for you accept their "request" to breed to your horse. You can accept or deny a request by going to "Breed" on the left side. The fee must be set to $1 or higher, otherwise it will not show up.

Public - automatic public breeding. As long as they have enough money for the fee you set. They do not have to wait for your approval, so be careful when using this option.

Foals take four real life days to be born. Whoever paid to breed will get the foal.

Boarding

Your new horse will need to be boarded somewhere to allow them to show, the default barn can be used to board but they cant show if there stabled in this barn. To search for a new stables use the search provided on your boarding page, to chage the stables click change. The go back to boarding and pay your rent!

PLEASE only board horses that are 3+ years or older so everyone has a chance to show. Keep youngsters in default barn.

Pedigree

In the pedigree section you can view your horses sire and dam , you will be to see there best events there to. If your horse is created both parents will be Unknown. If one or both of its parents are dead (they die at moment of turning age 30), it will show up as Deceased.

Foals

You can view how many foals your horse has on there foals page. This means you can see what type of stud it will make if you are buying a horse from someone. There is a breeding age for horses -

• Mares - 3 Years Old
  
• Stallions - 2 years Old
  

Foals take 4 days to be born!

A horse can only have 15 foals. If you see less than 15 foals on your horse's "Foals" page and the horse is unable to breed, it is because some of the foals may be in the rescue center or have died due to lack of care. Dead horses and horses in the rescue center do not show up on the list.

Selling Your Horse

You can sell your hosre if it is not showing to your satsifaction. Simply go to the horses page and change the price from 0 to whatever price you think is suitable for the horse. Click save changes on the page and your horse will be for sale, it will show you this on your main account page in bold next to the horses name. I also advise you add a post in the sales section of the message boards so other memebers know you have horses for sale.

There have been many issues with the so-called "private sales." If you reserve a horse for somebody, and you put it up for sale, it is YOUR fault if the horse is bought by somebody else other than the reservee. You may attempt a private sale, but do be aware of the risks.

Show Results

Click show results on your horse navagation to view their results in shows. Other members can also see the results.

Shows

To enter a show your horse must be at least 3 years old. Use your navagation bar to get to the shows page. Once you reach the shows page you have the choice of what grade you are entering Only the correct grade can enter the shows. i.e Pre-noice can only enter Pre-novice and not advance etc.


You can then choose the show you want to enter, pay the entry fee and your entered. You can only enter one horse per show. Shows run at 7:00 PM game time (EST time) and will NOT run if they have less than three entries. A show is "full" when there has been 15 entries - the game will automatically make new show of the same type/level to replace the full show.

Please note if your horse is boarded in the default barn, or hasn't had daily care your horse will not be able to show.


Your Mailbox

As you go into your mail box , you can see your mail. If you want to reply just click the reply buttom type your message and send it back. Deleting your messages is also done on this page. To compose a new message click compose, you then need to add the players ID# of who you are writing to , a subject and then your message in the boxes provided. Then click send and wait for a reply.

Using The Message Boards

When using the message boards please use the correct categories which are - General | Members | Sales | Horses | Showing | Help. Each post is shown on the screen infront of you and a box at the bottom lets you add your post.

Each category can only hold 10 messages at one time, so don't be alarmed if your post doesn't appear. When a new day rolls over, the old posts will disappear and new ones will appear.

Remember the rules when posting, and only post one copy of the message in its appropriate category. (DON'T post one in General, and then one in Sales, etc) Multiple messages will be deleted.

Using Our Chat Room

Chat is a simple room at the moment for all memebers to chat about their horses and show results etc. Simply add your post by typing your message in the box provided and your post will be added. Please give the chat room five seconds to refresh. Again please remember the rules when using our chat room. Inappropriate use of the chat room will result in consenquences leading to a deletion/ban of your account.


Upgrades

Upgrades are simple, goto your upgrade page on the navagation bar. Click the button for the upgrade you would like (6 or 12 months). Follow the steps through paypal. You will then need to email me with the subject 'email' (if you want an account) with your desired name and i will send you back the information required to access your mail. And wait..... about 1-2 days, as soon as i get the email to say which you have requested an upgrade i will make your stables.

Your Stables

Once you have your stables you will see it in the navagation bar. Click it and you can view your stables page, you will see the length of your upgrade in days. The name of your stables (which will say default barn at first)and then your fee. Your can chage the name and fee of your stables as many times as you want. Under the boarding fee you will then see 'Current horses' this will then show a list once you have boarders, the horses name will be shown and how many days have been paid for.

Boarding Members

Memebers can board there horses in your stables, you simply set the fee and they will pay to have there horses there. If a memeber doesnt keep up with there boarding fee each week you can kick them out once it gets to -7 days paid.

Making Shows

To make a show you will have to buy eventing course/grounds. This will cost �10,000 of your game money and you can buy it by clicking 'buy event grounds' under your main navagtion on your stables page. Once you have bought your grounds you will see the box chande into your show box, this is where you can pick either a single or a one day event, the level of the show and the fee. Once you press crete people can then begin to enter that show on the shows page.

Using Your Groom

To make life a little easier, you now have access to a groom. This groom is an easy way to make sure your horse is groomed everyday so your horse doesn't loose health and showing points. The groom needs to be paid a weekly fee of �100 of your game money but they do there job well and your horse will sparkle everyday until they need paid again. To access your groom go to your 'Horse Management' navigation bar and click groom , you will then see pay groom. Click pay and it will deduct �100 out of your account and your horse will be groomed for 7 days. make sure you keep a note of when you need to pay them next or groom your horse.

Entering a Special Show

This is simple all you do is go to the shows page and enter the horse you want clicking the specail show link. You will have only one entry per show.
